This is brand new floor filler plate is engineered for factory or aftermarket steering columns. This is not a universal part; it is designed specifically for your 1955-57 Chevy fullsize car. Filler plate attaches to the bottom of your new steering column to the floor at the original location and even has the provision for the factory clutch linkage. Kit includes a new foam rubber seal between the firewall and fits behind the original foam and rubber seals.
