225 Empty sterling silver prayer book cover bearing the London import hallmarks for 1893 and the import agents marks of William Moering. Also present are two marks almost certainly of Hanau. The empty cover is of good size and weight . The overall height is 5.5 " , the width is 3.75" and the spine thickness is 1.1". The weight is 282 grams , 9.07 troy ounces . Also present are two marks almost certainly of Hanau.  The empty cover is of good  size and weight . The overall height is 5.5 " , the width is 3.75" and the spine thickness is 1.1".  The  weight is 282  grams , 9.07  troy ounces .
The front , back and spine are all profusely decorated as you would expect.  The cover does not appear to ever had a book inside it. The whole thing is pristine  , no wear signs at all, no damage. The decoration could best be described as "very busy "!

The whole is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and is beautifully polished ready to go on display.
