The steering setup in your Tri-Five has probably seen better days and whether its manual or original factory power assist, there is no better alternative than a modern power steering conversion. Why waste time on original manual boxes that are almost impossible to find or power assist units are expensive and can take months to rebuild when you can convert to a modern setup? This power steering gearbox will fit all 55-57 Chevrolet full-size passenger cars and is a modern alternative to the popular but outdated 605 box. This kit uses a box based on the 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and includes a custom mounting bracket that will bolt up to your frame with no modifications. This box is fully rebuilt and includes our custom pitman arm that will mate up with your manual steering linkage and even includes a set of O-ring to inverted flare hose adapters if you are running an older style power steering pump! Convert your vintage Tri-Five to modern power steering and ditch your worn out manual or factory power assist.
