    Description

Antique German Chelsea Style Hand Painted Colonial Gentleman Figurine
Late 19th century continental European hand painted hard paste porcelain figurine of a Georgian / Colonial gentleman. He has a vibrant blue coat with large pink flowers and gold gilt leaves and buttons. White waist coat with dark pink flowers and gold gilt trim. He is wearing yellow pants and black shoes. He has a black hat with a red ribbon. His hair is brown. There are two encrusted flowers at his feet and three at his side. Marked on the back with a gold Chelsea style anchor mark. This mark was used by numerous French and German factories during the late 19th and early 20th century, not all of which have been unidentified. This example was probably made in Germany.
He appears to have been holding some flowers in his right hand which are broken off and missing. Most of the fingers on that hand are also missing. Also has some minor wear to the gilding. Does not appear to have any other damage.
    Measures approximately 2 3/8 inches wide x 5 1/4 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
