Knife bayonet for use on the caliber .30-06 Fabrique Nationale (FN) Model 1949 self-loading rifle.
The Belgian Army received 87,545 production rifles beginning in 1951, accounting for roughly half of all Model 1949 rifle production.
This bayonet is marked with the Circle M on the Pommel denoting use by the Belgian Army
The Frog is very tight fitting and was purchased separately by me. Seller said it was excess stock sold by Belgian Gov't. Meet s all the specs for the '49 Frog, Looks good when it's on but it's hard to get the loop over the pommel - just being honest.
