BELGIAN UNITED NATIONS KOREA MEDAL w/3 BARS

Description

This is a very fine Belgian United Nations Medal for Korean Service with three bars that is in excellent condition. The planchet is with a fine bronze finish. The obverse is with the United Nations seal and marked at the 5 o’clock position with the engraver’s name and date, “J. DEMART. 51.” The reverse is with the inscription, “POUT LA DEFENSE DES PRINCIPES DE LA CHARTE DES NATIONS UNIES”. Attached to the ribbon are three bars of bronze, silver, and gold that are inscribed, “COREE – KOREA”. The medal is suspended from its original blue and white striped ribbon United Nations ribbon and with the French style dual vertical pin assembly on the back. A very attractive example that remains in excellent condition.
