    This is an ORIGINAL KOREA WAR ERA 1st. SERGEANT (E8) HELMET RANK BADGE WITH A SCREW BACK. The 1st. Sergeant Helmet Rank Badge (E8) was used during the Korean War and in the beginning of the Vietnam War. It was worn on the front of the helmet liner. On the front of the 1st. Sergeant Helmet Rank Badge (E8) is black enameled with gold colored stripes. On the back there is a screw and nut for attaching it to the helmet liner. The 1st. Sergeant Helmet Rank Badge (E8) measures approx 1 1/4 inches Wide and 2 1/4 inches High. The 1st. Sergeant Helmet Rank Badge (E8) is in near new to new condition. (Due to long term storage).
