    Description

    Rare
Original 1940's William Spratling 980 silver 3 handle bowl hand made in Tasco Mexico. The 6" interior rim diameter ( not including the handles ) has a couple of small indentations close to the rim ( see photos ) and one very small ding under one of the handles. As you can see from the photos the bowl looks to have been hand made.
According to the book Mexican Silver by Morrill & Beck the oval mark on this bowl is from the 1940's and indicates that it is 980 /1000 silver. Spratling Silver denotes a silver purer and finer than sterling with less tendency to oxidize and discolor the skin and with a softer luster when finished.
