PocketWizard’s AC9 AlienBees Adapters are the latest accessory for the PocketWizard MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 ControlTL radio system. The AC9 slides into the shoe of a PocketWizard FlexTT5 and enables remote power control of AlienBees or White Lightning flashes with a camera-mounted PocketWizard MiniTT1 Transmitter or FlexTT5 Transceiver. Utilizing PocketWizard’s ControlTL technology, you can control the flash power level using the camera’s Flash Exposure Control (FEC). The AC9’s PowerTracking feature automatically adjusts flash power to maintain the established level to maintain proper exposure whenever the aperture and/or ISO is changed. Sliding the PocketWizard AC3 ZoneController into the shoe of the camera mounted MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 enables controlling AlienBees or White Lightening flash units in three zones, A B C, in 1/3-stop increments over a six-stop range. The AC9 draws its power directly from the FlexTT5 so there’s no need to install or replace batteries. The PocketWizard AC9 is a must-have for Canon and Nikon photographers using PocketWizard with AlienBees units.
1 - PocketWizard MiniTT1 (9) - (unregistered)
The MiniTT1 transmitter is a low-profile unit that slides directly into the camera’s hot shoe. It takes the complex TTL flash data sent through the camera’s hot shoe contacts and transmits it in a secure, unique PocketWizard radio signal. Flash units must be mounted on a FlexTT5 transceiver (ordered sepretaly) for TTL operation or any PocketWizard unit for manual operation. Shoot up to 1/8000 sec. with high-speed flash sync or up to 1/500 sec. with full power flash using exclusive PocketWizard HyperSync. Unique ControlTL system enables shooting remote autoflash at up to 8fps. As all communication takes place through the dedicated hot shoes, there is no need for cables, brackets, Velcro® or tape to use them. The MiniTT1 transmitter can be used for TTL auto flash up to 800 feet* and conventional triggering up to 1200 feet*. The unit feature a two-position channel selector that is factory programmed to the PocketWizard classic channel one and two. Using the included software and USB port, you can program either channel to any of the PocketWizard system’s 32 digitally encoded channels and four zones. A special Learning Mode enables simple, in-the-field programming of all channels. The FlexTT5 Transceiver maximizes both E-TTL II and Manual Power Control capability of Canon photographic equipment. Use the FlexTT5 Transceiver to control single or multiple off-camera electronic or intelligent TTL flashes. You can now place TTL or manual flashes anywhere to illuminate the scene: Around corners, out-of-sight and in bright sunlight. Used as a transmitter, the FlexTT5 can provide TTL auto flash at distances of up to 800 feet* and conventional triggering up to 1200 feet* with the aid of a flip-up antenna.
