    transmitter. they are great to add to your already existing flash or strobe units for studio work. they work on triple a batteries (3)  . Or you can purchase a transmitter for your camera to work with them. Have been using My Slave for the past 8 years and they have worked well for me. I use them with Alien Bees Strobes.
