The Rocket covered all things art, music and culture in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest from 1979-2000.
With a focus on local music (and music in general) along with a regular Sub Pop column running through the late 80's, the Rocket was at the center of the Grunge movement and for many bands their first, and largest, press recognition.
Filled with the club ads where the Grunge bands played and articles on the bands themselves and their labels, The Rocket championed the Grunge scene way before the movement would gain any national/international attention.
The Rocket is an incredible time capsule of Seattle, Grunge and the Pacific Northwest art and music scene.
