    Description

    This is a US Army Korean War era M51 Fishtail Parka with a frieze liner. The parka as well as the liner have no tags in them and the printed information that is usually in the parka itself as well as the hood as long faded There are also a couple of stains on the liner but nothing real noticeable and I see no evidence of it. With that said I know that it is original because it has the
    attached
    hood and just not sure what year it was made.
    Laying flat on the floor it measures 27" across the chest from underarm to underarm. It also measure 35" from the bottom back of the collar down to the bottom of the front and 23" from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the sleeve.  As far as the condition is concerned the parka has faded evenly overall but is no real wear or damage but there are a couple of issues or modifications. At some point and not sure why someone sewed a piece of white cloth around the bottom of the parka and they also sewed the fishtail closed. I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be an easy fix for some that can sew, that leaves me out, but let your knowledge be your guide. The liner is in really good shape as well but it is not the original liner. I believe that it is a liner for an M51 Filed Jacket because it lines up at the top but not with all the buttons on the sides. Someone at one time also added other button holes. My return policy is as follows if I make a mistake and don't describe my item properly you can return the item.
